SPOKEN ENGLISH

Why….. SPOKEN ENGLISH..?

“English” is the most spoken and written language on the earth and therefore it is considered as an universal language. English is the most commonly used language among the people to communicate with each other. This is the only language which has broken all the language and ethnicity barriers. It is used as a first language in s many countries. We strive to coach our students in a very interactive way so that they are able to speak, write and understand English which in turn will help them to be successful in their academic and business ventures, whether overseas or in India.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT

Why….. PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT..?

Personality is something that arises from within the individual and remains fairly consistent throughout life. It comprises all of the personal and interpersonal life skills such as thoughts, behavior patterns, and social attitudes that impact how we view ourselves and what we think about others and the world around us .Personality development is the enhancement of these life skills as these are essential to make the growth of happiness and success possible in one’s life. These life skills are like the pillars on which our whole career is set up and hence the success and the failure depends on the choice of those skills. We polish our student’s personal and inter-personal skills by organizing their thoughts, feelings and behavior into a cohesive and coherent unit to suit the professional environment, they may be studying or working in.

About

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Gurukul Community here at INDORE. Gurukul really is at the heart of the holistic development, and we are proud to have a happy, positive and friendly boarding house which the boarding students consider a home away from home.

Gurukul is about caring for one another, independence, resilience, joy, fun and about being a part of a supportive family where each and every individual feels secure and special. We celebrate here at INDORE a diverse community in boarding, enriched by a wealth of different cultures and experiences. The vertical structure enables the pupils in the younger years to live alongside the older pupils and this enhances the family feel.

All the Gurukul staff are approachable and enjoy positive relationships with the students in their care. We genuinely hope that you enjoy your time as a boarder and valued member of the Gurukul community here at MODERN GURUKUL INDORE.

Gurukul offers the benefits of a fully rounded education – academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually – and contributes to the development of important transferable skills such as personal responsibility, communication, teamwork, self- motivation and adaptability.

  • Strength
    Of
    Mind!

    Our Vision

We aim to enable our students to be truly independent thinkers and to think ‘big’ ideas, using their creative instincts. We aim to empower our students to develop resilience through a growth mind set adopting a ‘not yet….’ rather than a ‘can’t do….’ attitude to their learning and their personal development. We aim to develop young people to become critical thinkers with the capacity for original thought and ideas. We aim to cultivate young minds to accept and welcome failure as a natural part of self-improvement and personal growth – how can we know how to improve unless we first fail?

  • Strength
    Of
    Values!

Counselling: The school has a well comprehensive well defined counselling programme which promotes and enhances students learning and contributes towards making them confident, caring and responsible individuals. Students are also helped to adjust to the boarding environment.
Proactive and preventive in content, the program assists students to acquire and use life skills and focus on 3 broad and interrelated areas of student development- academic, career and personal / interpersonal development. The counselors also guide students, staff and families through a variety of activities.

Remedial Education: The counselling programme also ensures equal opportunities for all students to participate fully in the educational process. Learning difficulties, if any, are identified. There is a special resource room, which facilitates remedial teaching, for the children identified with such difficulties

  • Strength
    Of
    Purpose!

Finally, we aim to educate young people to have a strong sense of who they are and their purpose in the world. We aim to inspire our young people to become the leaders of the future. Our aim is to nurture the God-given talents of every student, whether academic or part of the co-curriculum, so that they achieve their greatest potential and are equipped academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually to go forth and make a positive difference to the communities in which they live and work.

  • Why Our
    Values
    Exists

    Our Mission

With Gurukul at the centre of our learning, we:
Help young people to achieve their greatest potential
Guide their intellectual growth, nurture their God-given talents, and inspire them to live in service to others
Aim to develop honest, confident, responsible and compassionate members of society, based on the educational values of Gurukul’s vision.

  • Advantages

Boarding schools often create stronger friendships and alumni networks which last for a lifetime.
Children are kept at arm’s length from the parties, drinking and drugs that are sometimes more easily available to pupils at day schools.
Children benefit from additional non-classroom contact with teachers in the evening, as well as supervised homework, music practice time and other extra-curricular activities.
Students are kept occupied in the evening. There is less use of technology and students are often more social.
Students tend to be more independent and confident.
